Born in Tokyo, Yumi moved to London with her family when she
wasat the junior school because of her father's business assignment
in UK and spent total of 14 years in UK, mainly based in London area.
She was educated in local junior & high schools, followed by London's
top Theatre School "Mountview Theatre School" where she studied
acting, vocal, basic jazz/tap/ballet dancing. After graduating from 3yr
Musical Theatre course at Mountview she has appeared in various
showcases, films & TV Ads. Yumi has retired from show-biz at only
the age of 21 to pursue non-theatrical career and spend another few
years in London, then decided to come back to her home country.
Yumi always enjoyed listening to Jazz and started to sing Jazz just as
a hobby, but was fortunate
to get a chance to make a first gig at a Jazz Club in Ginza, Tokyo on August
1, 2002. She now
regularly appears in Jazz Clubs mainly located in Central Tokyo areas.

at London Arena, with a huge bunch of flowers in her little arms - bless
